During the international forum of leadership Forum One the world famous British entrepreneur Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson was awarded the title of Honorary Doctor (Doctor em Honoris Causa) of KTU.
A young engineer from Kaunas won a prestigious engineering competition. Last week Marius Baranauskas, the first year student of electric energy technologies at KTU, won Present Around the World competition of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Lithuania Network. The first Lithuanian competition was hosted by Kaunas University of Technology.
In 2013 The President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė was awarded the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen. It is one of the most prestigious European prizes awarded by German city of Aachen to people who contributed to the ideals upon which Europe was founded.
