KAUNAS UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

This year Erasmus Exchange programme celebrates its 25th anniversary. Due to this occasion KTU is to hold various celebratory events, starting with celebratory procession on May 10th, 11.30 a.m. just outside the KTU Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture.

Mission of the Science, technology and social cultural research at Kaunas University of Technology is to make an impact on the quality of education of future leaders and professionals; to create frontier knowledge as well as high technology for enterprises and institutions; finally to contribute to the development of sustainable economy and culturally prosperous society.

On March 14, Kaunas University of Technology has opened the first specialized Pupils’ Laboratory in Lithuania fitted with modern equipment and devices.

On March 2, Kaunas University of Technology opens the Office for Young Business Development StartupSpace, one of the three offices to operate under the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which is expected to become a space for growing and developing business ideas generated by students and youth.

Kaunas University of Technology will take part in the International Education Fair in Tbilisi, Georgia on 23-26 February, 2012. Vice-rector for International Relations and Development Sigitas Stanys and Enrolment Manager Neringa Narbutienė will present KTU study programmes for Georgian students at the “Study in Lithuania” booth.

Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) takes another step forward in accelerating the development of frontier knowledge and technology competence and infrastructure in Baltic Sea region economies.

Gediminas Lučinskas, representative of KTU radio club, won World Short-Distance Radio Communications championship, beating more than 500 opponents.

On January 10, Intensive Lithuanian Language and Culture Winter Courses for ERASMUS, COMENIUS and GRUNDTVIG exchange students begin at Kaunas University of Technology. The courses, lasting until January 30, are also available for all the foreigners wishing to learn Lithuanian in Lithuania.
