KTU is the organizer and a partner of a number of science-promoting activities such as a robot competition, science innovation exhibitions, and science festivals. “Technorama”, the annual exhibition of the practically applicable science and technology innovations created by young scientists, attracts more and more participants and visitors every year.
KTU encourages the participation of high school students, and there are a considerable number of them among the exhibitors. The science festival “Erdvėlaivis Žemė” (eng. “Spaceship Earth”), and other science-promoting activities spark society’s interest in science and technology.
The University’s scientists and researchers are active participants of national and international science popularization events. In 2012, European “Researchers’ Night,” when the doors of most science and research laboratories were opened to the public all over Europe, KTU academics and scientists read over 30 lectures and led over 70 workshops to science enthusiasts and general public.
