On June 15, the Senate elected new vice-rectors of Kaunas University of Technology.
Prof. Pranas Žiliukas will remain in his position as the Vice-Rector for Studies. His responsibilities will include the study activities of faculties, departments, research centres and institutes, as well as the library and publishing matters.
The Vice-Rector for International Relations and Development was appointed prof. Sigitas Stanys, the former Vice-Rector for Infrastructure. According to the newly-elected Rector prof. Petras Baršauskas, internationalisation of the University should receive the major focus. Thus, the responsibilities of prof. Sigitas Stanys will include international and project activities of faculties and departments, as well as some project within the Integrated Science, Studies and Business Centre the Santaka Valley.
The Vice-Rector for Research became prof. Asta Pundzienė, holding a PhD in Social Sciences (Organizational Psychology). The former Dean of Research and Doctoral Studies at the ISM University of Management and Economics will be responsible for research activities of faculties, departments, research centres and institutes. Other responsibilities include doctoral studies, some projects within the Integrated Science, Studies and Business Centre the Santaka Valley, research with business, commercialization and etc.
