The Faculty was founded in 1998 after the re-organization of the Panevėžys Polytechnic Faculty into the KTU Panevėžys Division (later called the Institute).

Full-time academic and research staff of 50 employees includes 5 professors and 11 associate professors. 570 students (including 302 full-time and 268 evening studies students) are enrolled in the Faculty. Also there are 31 master students.
