Dean Prof. Aleksandras TARGAMADZĖ

The Faculty was founded in 1977; however, the first Informatics graduates were awarded diplomas in 1960. Academic and research staff of 195 employees includes 17 professors and 50 associate professors. There are 12 computer classes and 6 modern laboratories with 300 computers.

Approximately 1700 students are presently enrolled in the Faculty. Until 2007, 5030 engineers, 222 teachers of informatics, 2159 bachelors and 933 masters in informatics were prepared at the Faculty. In 2007, the Informatics Graduation Ceremony was held for the 48th.

In 2007 the Faculty’s scientist Prof. Henrikas Pranevičius was awarded the National Science Award for his work cycle Formalization and Modelling of Computer Systems: Theory and Application (1990-2006).
